Introduction

Welcome to the SABIS^® GLC application, your main companion for the annual SABIS^® Global Leadership Conference (GLC). This app is designed to optimize the conference experience of board members, school directors, and senior staff (collectively referred to as “you” or “your”) from across the SABIS^® Network.

In this data privacy statement, the recipient of the data is SABIS^® Educational Services S.A.L. (collectively referred to as “SES,” “We,” or “us”).

We take your privacy rights seriously. The processing of your personal data being collected and provided to us aligns with the data protection and privacy regulations. It will be treated as strictly confidential as set forth herein.

What Personal Data We Collec

The collected personal data is classified into the following types/categories: First Name, Last Name, E-mail Address, Working entity, Position, and Photo.

SES will not collect or process personal data that is considered sensitive, revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, etc.

Purpose of Personal Data Collection

The personal data we collect will be appropriately used for the purposes mentioned below, for your legitimate interest, and would not constitute an invasion of your privacy:

• To facilitate your participation in the conference by providing a detailed program listing containing speaker bios and session descriptions.
• To easily navigate the conference venue using interactive maps and location guides.
• To provide you with access to useful resources and cultural insights for all participating countries.
• To enable you to connect with other attendees and network with colleagues worldwide through a searchable directory.
• To help you discover additional resources and stay updated on conference developments to enhance your GLC experience.

Personal Data Storage and Processing

Your personal data will be stored in the SABIS^® GLC application’s database, hosted in the LumenSM Minnetonka Premier Select Data Center in Minnesota, United States. The data center is maintained by authorized personnel from SABIS Educational Systems, Inc.

Personal Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to secure your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction or loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. These precautions include appropriate technical, physical, and organizational security measures, which will ensure the data's ongoing confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Please note that you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials used to access SABISâ GLC, and you must report suspected unauthorized activity to us.

We make reasonable efforts to restrict access to information to only authorized employees who need it to operate, develop, improve, or deliver our services.

Personal Data Retention

We will strive to keep your personal data accurate and will not store it for longer than necessary. Employees' personal data will be kept in the application database as long as they are employed with SABIS^® and deleted seven years after the employee resigns or leaves their SABIS^® entity.

Personal Data Sharing

We will not share or disclose any collected information to any third party under any circumstances unless required by law or further to your request.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us by sending an E-mail to privacy@sabis.net

• Right of access – You can request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Right of rectification—You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data we hold about you.
• Right to request deletion – In certain circumstances, you can request that we erase the data we hold about you from our records. Your personal data will be automatically deleted from the application’s database, and processing of your personal data will cease once you have withdrawn your consent. However, please understand that by withdrawing your consent, any personal data that has already been processed before this point will not be affected, and you will no longer be able to access or use the SABIS^® GLC app.
• Right to restriction of processing – Under certain conditions, you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
• Right of portability – You can receive the data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You also have the right to transmit this data to another organization where it is technically feasible.
• Right to object – You have the right to object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.
• Right to object to automated processing, including profiling – Profiling-based activities are not carried out under any circumstances.
• Right to complain – If you object to our processing of your personal data, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority (“DPA”) in the country where you reside.

By using the SABIS^® GLC application, you explicitly consent and confirm that you agree to the above terms and that your personal data is accurate, correct, complete, and not misleading.

At times, we may change and/or update this Data Privacy Statement. If this statement changes in any way, we will post a revised version and ask for your consent to ensure you are always aware of our information practices and any applied changes.
